SimSig Drain

SimSig Drain is a simulation of the Waterloo & City Line of the London Underground, colloquially known as the “Drain”.The Waterloo & City Line has only two stations: Bank and Waterloo, with unidirectional tunnels between them. South-west of Waterloo there is a 5-track depot. There is no way for trains to enter or leave the line other than with the aid of a crane.

SimSig Central Scotland

This SimSig simulation covers a large geographical area between Glasgow (Queen Street), Polmont and Dunblane. The sim notionally represents the area and signalling as at November 2007 when I visited all the boxes (Larbert Jn had closed a few weeks before and was not visited).

SimSig Waterloo

SimSig Waterloo covers all the lines from Waterloo Station (including the Eurostar Terminal) to Earlsfield on the Main lines and Putney on the Windsor lines. It also covers a slightly remodelled Clapham Yard where some trains are stabled away from the rush hours.

SimSig Carlisle

The Carlisle simulation for railroads portrays the area controlled by Carlisle PSB which opened in 1973. Carlisle has many signals where the overlap is deemed as insufficient for overrunning of signals, so to mitigate against this a system known as conditional aspects exist which will impose approach control on the signal in rear unless the train has a clear run.

SimSig Gloucester

Gloucester signal box controls the 'crossroads' of four main lines, which go to Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol and Newport. It also includes the junctions to Droitwich, Norton Jn and Sharpness. Gloucester station has four platforms and a “Horse Box” siding along with the full goods works.
