var fDesc=new Array(); fDesc[0] = "For those who love golf this is the perfect game, but maybe not for the purist players since this game, as it names indicates, is a minigolf game. “3-D Ultra Minigolf Adventures Deluxe” is not only a golf game, but also a game to prove your intelligence. The game develops in many particular scenarios so you need to get the ball to the hole avoiding all kind of obstacles on the way. For example, in one occasion you will be playing minigolf in a cemetery, in other case you’ll be playing in the far west or in the Grand Canyon.
The game offers multiple game options, modes to play it, and environment. In addition, you can select among several avatars the one you like the most to represent your profile in the game. This is a multiplayer game and allows up to four players at a time so it can get real fun playing it with family and friends. The main two modes to play the game are: tournament and challenge. In tournament mode you will be playing in different courses and keep track of your performance. And the end of the tournament you will see your position on the table. You can save a tournament and get back to play it later. The tournament is the single player option. In challenge mode, you start a local multiplayer game. There are three options within challenge: standard, theme and custom. In custom you get to select the courses in which you want to play.
A very interesting feature of the game is the opportunity of creating your own courses. You can do this from the map editor, accessible from the main menu, in which you will find everything you need to create your courses. Several sections provide the options required, such as tees, straights, corners, green, junctions, ramps, and power-ups.
About the controls, it’s very simple what you need to know. There are two modes of controlling the game. The first mode is “Hold & Release”. In this mode you have to press and hold the left mouse button to increase the power, then release when you reach the desired strength to hit the ball. The second mode is “3 clicks”. Here, you have to do 3 clicks to complete a shot. First, left click to start the power meter. Then, click again to set the desired power. Finally, click another time to set the direction bias.
The power-ups are varied and multiple. Let’s just review some of them to give an idea of what they are about. Ballgrow: makes your ball bigger. Bomb: explode your ball and any nearby opponent’s balls. Electric Shock: destroys any opponent’s balls that are close by. Fire ball: makes a wall of fire. Free Shot: get a free shot. Glue: makes your ball leave a sticky trail of glue.
