UP Thrust
The Thrust Block Design Program (UPThrust) is an easy to use, user friendly program for the design of thrust blocks. The program was written in Visual Basic version 6.0 by Prof SJ van Vuuren & Mr M van Dijk of SINOTECH cc. The program requires the user to enter the internal pressures, flow rates, diameters, safety factors, bearing capacities of the soil.

JavaProp is a relatively simple program, which is based on the blade element theory. The blade is divided into small sections, which are handled independently from each other. Each segment has a chord and a blade angle and associated airfoil characteristics. The theory makes no provision for three dimensional effects, like sweep angle or cross flow.
